Naveen Polishetty has lost an opportunity to star in Jigarthanda Double X. Yes, director Karthik Subbaraj has revealed about the same in his speech at Hyderabad. He stated that he wanted SJ Suryah for director role in Jigarthanda Double X. But the busy actor-turned-director rejected the character. Karthik approached Naveen Polishetty for the role. While the young actor wanted to be part of the film, he could not adjust dates. SJ Suryah came on board and Jigarthanda Double X went to shoot with him.
Raghava Lawrence also missed out on original film and hence, he accepted Madurai gangster role in the second one. Jigarthanda Double X, is stated to be his deviation from routine commercial subjects. He talked about the film in Hyderabad and stated that he never expected to be a lead actor. Raghava Lawrence stated that he only imagined himself to become a choreographer while dancing as a junior. He stated that he became a director and then an actor. Hence, he cannot wish for more than that. He showed great confidence in Jigarthanda Double X becoming a success.
He stated that Chandramukhi 2 is a complete director’s film and he cannot expect success or failure in his career. He opined that all that God has blessed upon him needs to be accepted and move on. Jigarthanda Double X is slotted to be a Pandyan Western situated again in Madurai area. Karthik Subbaraj has become hugely famous with Jigarthanda and then he delivered Petta. Now, he needs a big hit theatrically as his Mahaan, on OTT became a good success. Jigarthanda Double X is slated for release during Diwali season in Telugu and Tamil languages.
