Nandamuri Balakrishna is expected to make a special cameo in ENE Repeat, the sequel to Tharun Bhascker’s cult favourite Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. This surprise addition has created a wave of excitement, especially among young fans who often chant “Jai Balayya” in theatres.
Director Tharun Bhascker, known for his debut hit Pelli Choopulu, has directed only three films so far. While Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi didn’t perform well when it first released, it found popularity over time and is now considered a cult classic. His most recent film, Keedaa Cola, did not meet expectations, pushing him to return to the film that brought him recognition.
The sequel, titled ENE Repeat, is described as a youthful entertainer filled with humour, nostalgia, and the same spirit as the original. Tharun is bringing back the original cast, including Vishwak Sen, Sai Sushanth Reddy, Abhinav Gomatam, and Venkatesh Kakumanu. He promises that the film will connect with audiences who loved the first one and offer something fresh for new viewers.
Interestingly, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi received a better response in its re-release than during its initial run. Its growth in popularity encouraged the team to revisit the story and give it a new life.
The film is being produced by D. Suresh Babu, Srujan Yarabolu, and Sandeep Nagireddy. Balakrishna’s appearance is expected to bring extra energy to the film and spark interest among a wider audience.
