Nandamuri Balakrishna went to his Hindupur Constituency and there he talked to media about the Akkineni – Thokkineni controversy. He stated that he loves Akkineni Nageswara Rao and he is like a paternal uncle to him. Nandamuri Balakrishna further said that he respects ANR and he made those comments trying to say what he and his fellow actors spoke during the shoot time. After this, he went on to say that he was the one who initiated to give ANR the first National award in the name of his father NTR. Nandamuri Balakrishna clarified that he made those comments in flow and if people want to make a controversy out of them, he is not responsible.
Had he left it there, the controversy would have ended, right there. Nandamuri Balakrishna went on to state that he and ANR used to be like family. He also stated that he used to give the love and respect that ANR did not find from his family or kids. This time, trying to clarify a controversy, he further made comments that would be taken as direct attack on Akkineni Nagarjuna, Akkineni Venkat and others. Nandamuri Balakrishna should have avoided making such comments on a sensitive issue.
After this media interaction, he went on a road show on his van. Nandamuri Balakrishna slipped as the driver increased the speed of the van. The sudden jerk made him fall on others seated on top of the van. He expected major accident as it could have been a major accident for him. It seems like Nandamuri Balakrishna needs to be slightly more careful with choice of words and mode of transport!
