Renowned composer MM Keeravani gave an emotional address during the title launch of the upcoming film ‘Varanasi’. The event saw fans and film personalities gather to celebrate the film, and Keeravani’s speech quickly became the highlight.

He began by recalling his long journey in the film industry and his friendship with director SS Rajamouli. From their early days on ‘Student No. 1’ to the massive success of ‘R.R.R.’, Keeravani spoke of their travels and experiences around the world. He used the term ‘globe’ not only to refer to America but also as a metaphor for the many places and stories they had explored together during their cinematic journey.

Turning to the film’s lead actor, Mahesh Babu, Keeravani expressed his admiration and friendship. He spoke about Mahesh’s dedication to his craft, particularly his insistence on strong dialogues. Keeravani also shared his fondness for Mahesh’s grandfather, the legendary actor Krishna, revealing that he became a fan of Mahesh through family connections and memorable performances. He mentioned that the music of Mahesh’s film ‘Pokiri’ had impressed him greatly, although he jokingly added that some songs in other films seemed slow for his taste.

Adding a humorous touch, Keeravani said he had ‘bought a flat’ – not in Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam – ‘but in the hearts of Mahesh Babu’s fans.’ He promised that this home would be ready in 2027, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.

Keeravani also spoke about the film’s antagonist, describing the character as intense and unforgettable. He emphasised that the title ‘Varanasi’ had been launched with due grandeur, reflecting the importance and scale of the film.

With his mix of warmth, humour, and heartfelt memories, Keeravani left a lasting impression on everyone present. His speech not only celebrated the film but also honoured the friendships and journeys that shaped his career, setting an exciting tone for the release of ‘Varanasi’.
