Megastar Chiranjeevi once stated that he got upset that no Telugu Cinema greats got honored at Indian Film Festivals that even International Film Personalities recognise as prestigious events and participate. Now, he got a special AV celebrating his journey while he received the award, “Indian Film Personality of the Year” at Amrit Mahostav, on the last day of 53rd International Film Festival of India, IFFI, Goa. Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed the same to media at the event and said he got renewed energy after this award.
Union I&B Minister, Anurag Thakur handed Megastar Chiranjeevi the award and then teased him with a question, “It is easy to get accepted when you go back to films from politics but is the other way around, possible or even probable?” Megastar Chiranjeevi stated that he will answer to that question, a little later. The actor thanked IFFI and Indian Government for giving him Indian Film Personality of the Year, Award.
Megastar Chiranjeevi said, “I am a simple, middle class person, Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad with big dreams. Telugu people have made me Chiranjeevi with their love. I have been waiting for years for this kind of recognition and I am happy that I received it. My fans will be overjoyed and I thank all the Telugu people for their love, wherever they are, all around the world.
Megastar Chiranjeevi continued, “They have given me their unconditional love and that has made me what I am today. I need that love and I live for it. For 45 years, in Film Industry, I have been working to gather that love. I realized the value of Film Industry after going to politics and I will never leave Films, until I die. There can be corruption in any field, but in Films, only talent counts.”
