Director Maruthi hasn’t had a release at the box-office after the 2019 hit ‘Prati Roju Pandage’. The director, earlier this year, announced a film with Gopichand. It’s titled ‘Pakka Commercial’.
But the ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’ maker is said to be planning to do a quickie this year. Because of some practical issues around shooting (owing to the second wave), Maruthi wants to do a small film pretty fast.
For the project, he is teaming up with Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who last year had two OTT releases – ‘Krishna And His Leela’ and ‘Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma’.
Maruthi has written small films like ‘Brand Babu’ and the breakout horror-comedy ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ in the past. Siddhu is inclined to do experimental films. It seems the duo has found a good collaborator in each other.
