Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy working with Rajamouli for their upcoming big-budget film, one of the most anticipated projects in Indian cinema. Although filming has already begun, fans are still waiting eagerly for an official update from the team.
A long-time report revealed that a shooting schedule had been planned in Kenya. Rajamouli and the team intended to shoot the introduction scene of Mahesh Babu there. Preparations had been made nearly two months ago. However, due to ongoing unrest in Kenya, the plan has been put on hold. The country has been shaken by widespread protests, and local authorities confirmed that 38 people, including two children, died last week in the violence.
For safety reasons, the film team decided to cancel the Kenya shoot. The schedule was supposed to begin this week, but the situation forced the crew to change their plans. Instead, the team is now exploring alternative locations in Tanzania or South Africa. A final decision on the new location is expected soon.
In another major update, Rajamouli has made a key change in his crew. His long-time cinematographer K. K. Senthil Kumar, who worked on blockbusters like RRR, Baahubali, and Magadheera, is not part of this film. He has been replaced by P. S. Vinod, a decision reportedly made by Rajamouli himself.
The film also stars Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra as the female lead, with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in a crucial role. Music is composed by M. M. Keeravani. According to industry sources, the film is being made on a massive ₹800 crore budget.
