Kalyan Shankar who worked with KV Anudeep, on Jathi Ratnalu, debuted with this movie as director. MAD makers grabbed attention with their cashback offer post release if audiences don’t get entertained. Let’s talk about MAD in detail, if their confidence is ill-found or well-found!

MAD Movie Plot:
MAD movie is a gang of three friends – Manoj(Ram Nithin), Ashok(Narne Nithin) and Damodar(Sangeeth Shobhan). Damodar or DD has capability to motivate and deliver when matters while he never cares. Ashok, even though is well-to-do, doesn’t have a family and stays distant. Manoj is a big flirt and loves to not be serious but friendly flirt with women.
They change when three women enter into their lives. Majorly, Damodar becomes more assertive with Vennela entry. What happens to three of them when girls enter their lives? Who is Vennela? Will MAD be united all the while? Watch the movie MAD to know more.
MAD Movie Analysis:
MAD is not a brain teaser and it doesn’t test our ability to dissect or feel an emotion. It just flows with simple one-liners and situations created for those one-liners to exist. It is a movie created to make fun of regular college movie troupes and succeeds in placing prank after prank. MAD looks to follow Jathi Ratnalu kind of non-sensical yet simple humor screenplay through the run-time. It succeeds to evoke laughter at many episodes but not through and through.

MAD works for the first hour more effectively than in the second hour. Still, with no big plot, the director Kalyan Shankar engages us in the proceedings without holding back. Also, MAD has enthusiastic cast, who take the opportunity to showcase their talent. Sangeeth Shobhan makes a huge impression and he is like Allari Naresh from Allari, in this film. Ram Nithin looked more convincing as a lead but needs to work on expressions. Narne Nithin needs some more time. Vishnu impresses.
Three girls – Sri Gouri Priya, Ananthika Sanilkumar and Gopikaa Udyan are beautiful. Kalyan Shankar has high clarity in what he wants and hope he continues to do so. MAD works because of Bheems Ceciroleo apt music, as well. He doesn’t overplay in key moments or underplay. Also, the movie doesn’t try to get preachy yet it doesn’t have a strong core to really stick to. Had it served some kind of strong and funny plot, the moments would’ve been more memorable. Still, MAD works as a theatrical watch with our friends gang.
MAD Movie Positives:
Unapolegetic Nature
Fresh Jokes and One-liners
Sangeeth Shobhan timing
Decent pacing
MAD Movie Negatives:
Lack of strong core
Too uni-dimensional
At places, tries too hard
MAD Movie Bottom-line: Jokes and Gag-reels!
