Leo movie shows become a point of discussion and disappointment for fans. Tamil stars and movies used to enjoy early morning and fan benefit shows for a long time. When Telugu films couldn’t get 01:00 AM or 04:00 AM show permissions, Tamil stars had those shows in the entire state. Several theatres have become fan forts, asking fans to come and enjoy early shows. This has become disappointing aspect in Leo ahows allocation. Fans of Vijay wanted Leo shows to start from 04:00 AM, at least.
But Government has denied such permission. After few mishaps, Tamil Nadu Government has decided that any movie will have first show only after 9:00 AM and not earlier to that. Many big producers wanted early morning shows as extra shows will give them more chance of gaining their investment back. Thalapathy Vijay had a bad run with political parties and hence, he faced different kinds of obstacles from governments. Now, his movie, Leo did not get permission to play early morning shows. Fans are disappointed because this will also restrict collections that Leo can make on opening day.
Fans of Vijay want him to beat Rajiniknath and Ajith Kumar opening day records with every film of his. For now, several trade analysts state that Ajith Kumar’s Valimai got the highest opening day record in TN. Vijay has been able to grow his market in Overseas very much in the past decade and he has been able to open his films on par with Rajinikanth, considering worldwide numbers. In TN, he has been able to open huge with Sarkaar. Leo has huge hype and it could become first one to open above 40 crores gross in TN.

Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay combination has create huge buzz and hype for the film. Leo recorded biggest opening for any Indian film in UK beating Jawan, with pre-sales. Also, in North America, film has already crossed US$900K mark in pre-sales for Day 1. Also, Leo is projected to open with US$6 Million on the opening day, in Overseas. It can go even higher too. With such big opening number from Overseas, Leo is expected to create opening day records, worldwide close to Rajinikanth’s Kabali.
But in Tamil Nadu, the movie will have shows from 9:00 AM on 19th October, with recent decision of TN Government. Hence, Leo worldwide total will take a big hit. Now, makers don’t have access to North Indian multiplexes due to 4 weeks OTT window. Hindi version of Leo won’t release in North Indian multiplexes. So, makers might be hoping that Telugu states, Kerala, Karnataka and other states will give it big numbers for any Tamil film. Fans hope that Leo opens huge everywhere and post release get good word-of-mouth to become biggest blockbuster and cross Jailer.
