Leo film starring Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Action King Arjun has been gearing up for release on 19th October. The movie has unprecedented hype with director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU hype surrounding the film. He connected Vikram and Kaithi films by introducing common antagonist Rolex, played by Suriya. Now, with Leo, fans want Vijay also to join this Universe that fights against narcotic drugs. Hence, the bookings for Leo have been huge and it is set to become first 100 crores opener for Vijay, worldwide.
The pre-sales in Overseas and Kerala have already touched never before record highs for any Vijay film. In USA, Leo has already hit US$ 1 Million mark. And in UK, the movie is trending above even Bollywood films. Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Middle-east are also trending high for any Vijay film. With such hype around it, the movie is also facing court issues and several agreement issues at several places. Leo Telugu version release has been stayed by CIVIL Court in Telangana till 20th October.
A producer has gone to court about the title and he stated that Telugu rights of Leo title stay with him. Sithara Entertainments Naga Vamsi, who is releasing movie in Telugu states has stated that the issue will be sorted by 7 Screen Studio producers before 19th. He confirmed that the release will be smooth in Telugu states. He also stated that Leo will create records for opening for any dubbed movie.
Leo is facing issues in North with multiplexes not showcasing the film. Also, IMAX shows have also been canceled in Overseas due to delay in IMAX version. For now, Leo is on track to collect huge numbers for any Vijay film, on Day 1.
