Kushi Movie Plot:
Viplav Lenin(Vijay Deverakonda) is second son of an atheist Lenin Sathyam(Sachin Khedekar). Sathyam goes on public platforms to talk about science. Opposing him, Chadarangam(Murali Sharma) goes on public platforms to talk about Traditional values. Kushi deals with Viplav accidentally falling in love with Aradhya(Samantha) in Kashmir, when she disguises as Aara Begum. Aradhya and Viplav go against their family wishes and marry each other. But Chadarangam predicts that both of them won’t be together for long. Will the lovers be happy everafter? Will their fathers unite? Watch Kushi to know more.

Kushi Movie Analysis:
Kushi movie deals with difference in belief system. A Purist and an atheist having a fight of one upmanship while their children fall in love, forms the crux of the plot. But then it derails into Aaradhya not being able to conceive as quickly as she wants to. While this issue triggers more misunderstandings and small conflicts, both try to take things to the extreme. Shiva Nirvana writing and execution is not as strong as his Majili and Ninnu Kori. Every scene could’ve been written even tighter and with more meat. While the lighter vein narrative is apt for this movie, it doesn’t consistently entertain. Kushi fails in letting us invest in the world of Aradhya and Viplav.

Vijay Deverakonda is likeable as Viplav. He has been able to change his looks from Liger to look like a boy-next-door. Samantha looked inconsistent due to her ill-health. But she did try her best. All others did not get enough material to ponder upon. Kushi could have easily been a good movie that talks about themes touched upon in PK and OMG. But this film fails in organically building conflict and executing it. Kushi has some sparks and potential that has not been completely realised.

Kushi Movie Positives:
Vijay Deverakonda Screen Presence
Few interesting Conversations
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s performance
Hesham Abdul Wahab Songs

Kushi Movie Negatives:
Inorganic Conflicts
Lack of Emotional Connect
Dragged out portions
Weakly executed Comedy

Kushi Movie Bottom-line: No Emotinal Connect
