Kamal Haasan has delivered huge cult blockbuster two decades ago. His character as Indian has become hugely popular and it has become his biggest blockbuster at the time. Kamal Haasan and Shankar Shanmugh have decided to bring sequel to Indian as Indian 2. The movie has been in production from 2018 and had to be halted due to big accident. Kamal Haasan has completed shooting for the film, recently. Now, the team has announced dubbing works have started for the film.
Shankar is known for taking his own time in making movies. He took 3 years to shoot initially but a freak accident on sets has pushed it even longer. Kamal Haasan had issues with Lyca Productions and started his movie Vikram. Shankar also had a fall-out and moved on to make Game Changer with Ram Charan. Lyca Productions has gone to court stating that he should complete Indian 2 and go for other projects. Kamal Haasan has joined him and now, completed shooting, as well.
Indian 2 is stated to be made on a huge budget than any Kamal Haasan film. Lyca Productions is stated to be very happy with the output despite all issues. Shankar is continuously busy with Indian 2 post production works and Game Changer production. Kamal Haasan seems to be very happy with character and output. Along with him Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh have been cast in the film. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring for the film while original is scored by AR Rahman.
