Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s period thriller with director Naveen Medaram and producer Abhishek Nama of Abhishek Pictures has been titled ‘Devil’. With the story by Srikanth Vissa, its music is by Harshavardhan Rameshwar of ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame.
Releasing its title motion poster on Monday, the makers revealed that the film’s story is based on an unwritten chapter of the British Indian history. “A love so strong and a mystery so deep,” the motion poster says, without revealing much.
Seen in a vintage look, Kalyan Ram will be playing a secret agent of the British in this stylish flick. Prashanth Baradi has developed its story. “The story is set in 1945 in the Madras Presidency. The story-writer, Vissa, is also working on ‘Pushpa’,” the makers said.
A pan-India film, it will be released in 2022. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.
