Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra released on 7th September, worldwide. Anirudh Ravichander and Atlee kumar debuted as composer and director with the film in Hindi, respectively. Movie has been on a record breaking spree at box office, ever since. Jawan became second highest grosser worldwide with USD 63 Million, in the opening weekend. Movie secured second spot behind Nun II and has put up over Rs.100 crores gross each day for 4 days during weekend. Jawan has now surpassed Rs.600 crores in just 6 days, worldwide.
It has collected Rs.621.12 crores gross worldwide and it is first Hindi film to collect at this speed. Shah Rukh Khan upon his comeback with Pathaan, is on a spree to break his own records. Pathaan collected Rs.600 crores gross worldwide in the opening week but in 7-8 days. Jawan did much better in India than Pathaan on first Monday and Tuesday post huge record breaking weekend.
Now, the movie is poised to collect over Rs.1000 crores, worldwide, predict experts. If it does, it would be the second film from Shah Rukh Khan, to achieve the feat and second Bollywood film, too sans, China market. Jawan, if collects, 1000 crores, will be the first consecutive film from a star to collect that amount in same year.
The overseas collections of Jawan are slightly below Pathaan but it has already raked in USD 25.25 Million. China release of Jawan is not yet scheduled and we cannot predict collections from the market, yet. Pathaan had one day advantage and USD 5 Million headstart ahead of Jawan. But Shah Rukh Khan is chasing himself at Overseas markets sans China, at this moment.
He is the only star from Indian Cinema to have USD 25 Million collectors back-to-back in Overseas, sans China. Well, the movie seems to be getting much better reception than Pathaan in Southern markets. If the pace continues in second weekend with Vinayaka Chathurthi holiday, movie can collect Rs.600 – 700 crores gross just in India. It has already collected Rs.413 crores gross from Indian markets with 345.60 crores Nett gross.
