Jawan has become the second film from Shah Rukh Khan to cross 900 crores gross worldwide box office collections. The movie has become 7th Indian film and 4th Hindi film to cross this landmark. Dangal(₹2,024 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion(₹1,810.6 crore), RRR(₹1,316 crore), KGF Chapter 2(₹1,200 crore), Pathaan(₹1,050.3 crore) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan(₹918.18 crore) have crossed the landmark before Jawan. Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dangal have collected well with Chinese dubbed versions in China Market to reach the mark. Pathaan and Jawan have become Hindi films to collect the same in original language.
Shah Rukh Khan fans are the cloud nine with this stupendous comeback by their idol. In the same year, no star has been able to deliver back to back 1000 crore grossers in indian Cinema in any language. While Pathaan took time to reach landmark, Jawan seems to reach it by third weekend.
Majorly, Telugu and Tamil versions are contributing heavily with Rs.53.45 crores Nett gross collections. Jawan in Hindi markets has collected Rs.457.59 crores Nett gross, till date. It takes film’s total to Rs.511.04 crores Nett gross, all languages in India.
Jawan has become such a sensational hit that Chaleya song has entered Billboard Global 200 charts at 97th position. Post release, the song has become a frenzy among the public. Also, major number of reels are being made on Not Ramaiya Vasthavaya song all-over too. Director Atlee thanked Shah Rukh Khan for such an humungous opportunity and stated that he wants continue this association.
Composer Anirudh Ravichander has expanded his market value and fan base with this film. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi have also become more sought-after actors in Hindi, as well. Jawan crossed 900 crores milestone in 13 days and it is expected to touch 1000 crores in 20-22 days of release.
