Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi released worldwide to a great reception on 7th September. Due to huge blockbuster success of Pathaan in January, on Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback, many had huge expections from this one. Atlee Kumar, South Indian Blockbuster director brought the same essence to Hindi Cinema with Jawan. The movie had Shah Rukh Khan in dual characters – Azad and Vikram Rathore. Movie opened to a huge Rs.65.50 crores Nett on first day. It dropped to Rs.46.23 crores on Friday. But on Saturday, Jawan created highest ever single day collections record for any Hindi film with Rs.144 crores collections, worldwide. Movie also recorded huge Rs.68.72 crores Nett, highest for any India movie, in single day. The major surprise came on Sunday despite India vs Pakistan match. Jawan collected Rs.71.63 crores Nett gross in India. This is new benchmark for any Indian film in a single day.
Opening day Nett gross collections crossing 50 crores Mark has been benchmark till date. Jawan has crossed 60 crores in single thrice and even achieved 70 crores benchmark. Shah Rukh Khan has always been most favourite in Overseas markets among any Indian Stars. Jawan collected $21.75 Million, across different Overseas markets in the extended weekend. Producers have announced officially, that Jawan has collected over 500 crores, worldwide in just 4 days. The movie has become fastest movie to collect Rs.500 crores worldwide among Hindi films. Also, Jawan has become the fastest film to collect Rs.252 crores in Indian Box Office and films.
Movie has collected record Rs.34.08 crores Nett from Telugu and Tamil versions in key markets. Jawan stands on top of the ladder with Rs.286.16 crores Nett gross collections from all languages in the weekend among Hindi films. Movie has collected Rs.340 crores gross from India and Rs.180 crores gross from Overseas. Worldwide Jawan box office collections total has crossed Rs.520 crores. This mammoth for any Indian film. Also, with USD 65 Million, Jawan has occupied second place among Worldwide releases. Shah Rulh Khan with this movie has created unprecedented records for any Hindi and Indian film.
