Indian 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of Indian Cinema. Indian in 1997 became a tide changing blockbuster. Kamal Haasan’s portrayal of old-age freedom fighter rebelling against corrupt Government officials has become a sensation. Shankar who made a great impression with Gentleman, became a great commercial director with Indian. He announced Indian 2 in 2019 and the sequel has attained huge craze.
The film shooting had to be stopped due to a freak accident. Shankar moved on to Game Changer with Ram Charan. Lyca Productions, the producer of Indian 2, has asked Shankar to complete their film first and then only release other films. Now, reports from Chennai state that Indian 2 will be delayed further by at least 6 months. The speculations about Indian 2 release date have been on from 2023 January. Many suggested that it could release for Pongal 2024.

Shankar has a habit of waiting till the sequences shape up as he imagined. So, delays in production and postponements have become common for him. I, 2.0 have gone through several postponements and delays due to various reasons. Now, it is said that Indian 2 VFX work will take another 6 months to finish. That means Indian 2 could release only in later half of 2024. Which automatically means Game Changer going to 2025. Dil Raju has already stated that Shankar has all the authority over the filming and any film related updates. So, fans of Ram Charan are worried how long will it take for Indian 2 to release for them to see their hero on big screen in his full glory. Let’s wait and watch.
