Ialiyaraaja is not just a name for music lovers and many treat him as their God. Now, Hyderabad is all set to witness a grand tribute concert dedicated to the legendary music composer, a tribute to Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. On top of that Maestro himself is going to give a Live concert, on 25th & 26th February at Gachibowli Stadium, respectively. Minister KTR, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna Akkineni are going to grace Ilaiyaraaja concert as well.
Hyderabad Talkies, the organizers have met Shri. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao and Shri. Srinivas Goud, requesting their presence at the event. They will also honor the music legend, Ilaiyaraaja. The team also met Megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela and Nagarjuna Akkineni. They invited them to be part of the tribute concert. KTR and several celebrities will grace tribute to Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, concert. The concert promises to be a grand affair.
Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed immense happiness to be part of this tribute to Ilaiyaraaja. He remembered their long association. He said, “It’s a great opportunity to be on stage with maestro Ilaiyaraaja. I will be privileged to felicitate and be part of paying tribute to him. He has been the music director for many of my movies and the music were super-duper hits. I thoroughly respect our association.”
Akkineni Nagarjuna also expressed his happiness to be part of honoring Ilaiyaraaja. He stated, “I felt so honored as many of my musical hits are from Shri. Ilaiyaraaja. My movie Geetanjali’s music went ahead to become one of the biggest hits in his music.”
On 25th February, a tribute concert is scheduled to take place, one day prior to the live concert of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. The tribute concert will feature a stellar line-up. Music directors Anup Rubens, Vishal Chandrasekhar, renowned bands of Hyderabad, and noted singers pay homage to Maestro Ilaiyaraaja.
On 26th February, the maestro Ilaiyaraaja will be performing LIVE at the Gachibowli Stadium. The live-in concert will feature an ensemble of 80 musicians on stage. It is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees. The tickets are almost sold out for his LIVE concert.
During his last visit to Hyderabad Maestro Ilaiyaraaja said, he is looking forward to performing in Hyderabad. “We have once again raised the bar by bringing the maestro to the city for a Live concert to create a buzz in our city”, said Sainath Goud Malkapuram, Founder, Hyderabad Talkies, which is known for its legacy events including A.R. Rahman in 2017 and Arijit Singh in 2019.
