Hrithik Roshan awestruck by Jr NTR fans at War 2 event

Hyderabad turned into a sea of energy on Sunday night as Hrithik Roshan experienced, perhaps for the first time, the unrestrained passion of Jr NTR’s fan base. The War 2 pre-release event wasn’t just a film promotion — it was an explosion of colour, sound, and pure devotion, the likes of which Bollywood rarely witnesses.

In Hindi cinema, promotional events are often sleek, brief affairs — an hour of speeches, media interaction, and photographs before everyone heads home. But Tollywood plays by a different rulebook. For Jr NTR, such gatherings become grand celebrations, with fans travelling from distant towns, filling the venue, chanting slogans, waving banners, and even tearing shirts in excitement.

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Yash Raj Films on an enormous budget, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Starring Hrithik alongside Jr NTR, the film is set to hit cinemas worldwide on 24 August, clashing with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. With such high stakes, the Hyderabad event was always going to be huge — but it still managed to exceed expectations.

Hrithik, seated next to Jr NTR, soaked in the electrifying atmosphere as anchor Suma kept the momentum alive with engaging AV presentations and the re-launch of the film’s dialogue promo. The security presence was strong, yet the enthusiasm of the crowd was unstoppable.

For Hrithik, who has rarely visited Hyderabad and almost never witnessed this scale of fan celebration, the evening was a revelation. Bollywood stars may command vast fan bases, but the sheer physical presence and non-stop energy of a Tollywood crowd is something entirely different. By the end of the night, the War 2 pre-release event felt less like a publicity exercise and more like a historic moment in fan culture — one that left even a seasoned superstar like Hrithik Roshan visibly impressed.
