The controversy surrounding Bollywood’s crazy project ‘Don 3‘ has become a whirlwind. The ‘Federation of Western India Cine Employees’ (FWICE) on Monday took a sensational decision against Bollywood’s leading actor Ranveer Singh for suddenly dropping out of the film. He was banned from the industry by issuing ‘Non-cooperation’ orders that no one from the industry should cooperate with him anymore.
Loss of Rs. 40 crore.. Farhan Akhtar’s complaint!
Director-producer Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house ‘Excel Entertainment’ has spent heavily on the ‘Don 3’ project. However, the producers had previously alleged that Ranveer Singh had walked out of the project just three weeks before the shooting was due to start, causing them a huge loss of Rs 40 crore in pre-production. It was rumored that Ranveer walked out of the film due to differences in the script. In this context, FWICE, which stepped into the field as per the complaint of director Farhan Akhtar, said that despite sending notices to Ranveer Singh three times in a row, no proper response was received from him. As a result, Federation Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit recently clarified that workers and technical experts from any section of the industry should not work with him.
As it is the third part of the ‘Don’ franchise, which has become a career milestone for legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, there are huge expectations on it. While there were reports of Hrithik Roshan being approached for the role after Ranveer opted out, the actor’s team completely denied the news. It is said that Ranveer Singh’s other projects are also likely to be affected by the ban imposed on him. On the other hand, there is uncertainty in Bollywood as to who will play the hero in ‘Don 3’.
