Chiyaan Vikram, six to seven years ago joined hands with director Gautham Vasudev Menon for spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram. GVM has run into financial issues and the movie never could be completed in time for a release. GVM went on to make other films and finally, Chiyaan Vikram movie saw the light of the day. Dhruva Natchitram is now releasing on 24th November, 2023. For long, many did not believe the movie will ever release. But Chiyaan Vikram shared the trailer and announced the date.
A retired RAW official forms a 11-spies team and Chiyaan Vikram becomes their leader. He faces challenges from a villain played by Vinayakan, famous for Jailer. Dhruva Natchathiram looks like a GVM style slick action flick and the trailer is finely cut. Even though it has been in labs for 4 years, GVM managed to keep the look contemporary. He seems to have re-worked on DI for improvement. Chiyaan Vikram look from the movie is really stylish and like James Bond.
The movie has been titled as Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam. Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Simran, Radhika Sarathkumar are cast in interesting roles along with Chiyaan Vikram. Harris Jayaraj has composed the music and Anthony is editing the film. Gautham Vasudev Menon would be expecting the movie to have a big box office reception to get back his lost reputation as big box office director. Chiyaan Vikram also will be hoping for a huge successful film after Ponniyin Selvan films.
