Elections and results have become sensational news in Telugu Film Industry. From several years, Movie Artists Association, MAA elections have been hugely controversial. Elections have become highly important for people to assert their power over rival group. Film Industry seems to be dividing into groups because of these power struggles. Still, Elections have been creating good ripples and give entertainment to followers.
Dil Raju and C. Kalyan factions have been fighting for Film Chamber President post. Dil Raju won the Elections on 30th July. He took the charge and office in Film Chamber on 31st July. He has been welcomed by the producers’ council and all factions, too. It got nasty with Elections having both the factions throwing accusations on the other. But Dil Raju came out on top with thumping majority.
Manchu Vishnu on 31st July with MAA committee took an important decision. He told them that he won’t be fighting Elections in 2024. The new Elections will be held on May, 2024. Actually, they had to be held in September, 2023. Due to internal auditing the elections will be held next year opposed to this year. Well, Film Industry does have people with some ego issues and they have come out in public during Elections through smear campaigns. Hopefully, they will stop now.
