Dunki is the new movie from Shah Rukh Khan in the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. After Pathaan and Jawan, the actor has decided to join hands with Rajkumar Hirani 2 years ago. After Zero, SRK took 4 years gap and in the meantime, he worked on Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. Now, Salaar has announced their release date on the same date as Dunki. One year ago, team released the announcement promo with Christmas date, 22nd December.
Ever since, Salaar team has announced 22nd December date, rumors about Dunki being postponed have going around. Shah Rukh Khan in one ASKSRK session, clarified that Dunki won’t be postponed. Recently, speculations have come about the movie release being postponed due to VFX work. SRK has started Red Chillies VFX Wing for his most ambitious movie, Ra. One. Ever since, the VFX company has become the best in the India and even world.
Hence, they have several offers for big movies from India, as well. They have achieved some improbable things for Fan and Zero. For Jawan, due to delays they have hired special teams to complete in September while initially, Jawan was planned for June release. Now, with such rumors resurfacing, majority thought Dunki will also be postponed. Now, Dunki team have clarified to close sources that they are not postponing.
Majority of news portals have been trying to project as Prabhas vs SRK clash. So, those who don’t like the other are projecting baseless rumors on the other. Either one have never tried to look down upon the other. In fact, Prabhas multiple times stated that he is a fan of SRK. Well, multiple films tend to release during Holiday period and Christmas has been a huge for films.
After PK and Dangal, most films have been released for similar dates. It is unfortunate to see such baseless rumors being spread all-over. Dunki and Salaar both can sustain for X’mas in theatres.
