Director Vamshi Paidipally has been very emotional about his films and we have seen him feel elated looking at audiences going crazy in theatres and hugging all his cast and crew post the film completion, after watching it in Theatres. Vamshi Paidipally loves to make films and is highly passionate about his work and belief system. After Munna, his debut film, he corrected his mistakes and came back strongly with Brundavanam. Later, he made Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi and now, with Vijay Varisu/ Vaarasudu. The story of Varisu and execution by Vamshi Paidipally has been criticized by critics and few Tamil movie lovers.

They called the film as a serial and said that they did not like the slow narrative. Vamshi Paidipally has been visibly hurt by these comments. In an interview with a famous Tamil magazine, Vikatan, more precisely their cinema wing, Cinema Vikatan, Vamshi Paidipally blasted out on the critics and criticism saying that there are hundreds of people who are working to make a film and they cannot treat their hard work as a joke and also said that Thalapathy Vijay did not agree to work with him just like that and he understands commercial cinema better than anyone else.

He continued to say that he makes commercial films and he never claimed that he made a great film. Vamshi Paidipally stated that he loves commercial cinema and he made this film, Varisu for those audiences who love to watch films at theatres. He angrily asked the interviewer, how can they degrade serials and when they are being watched regularly by audiences at our homes, one should respect them. Vamshi Paidipally seemed visibly angry with such negative tarnishing feedback.

Well, Tamil Twitter has started trolling him for his comments. They are comparing his interview and his comments with Lokesh Kanagaraj and H.Vinoth comments in other interviews. All said and done, a director like Vamshi Paidipally has all rights to state how he feels about his films and can be protective, too. His comments should be understood as his passion lashing out on some degrading comments but not as lack of humility. Vijay Varisu is collecting well all-around the globe and crossed 150 crores gross in 5 Days.
