Director Shankar is one of the legendary filmmakers of Indian Cinema. He has been busy with films like Indian 2 and Game Changer. Shankar has turned into a producer with his banner S pictures. He produced films like Kaadhal, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, Veyil, Eeram films. He took a break from producing films concentrating on his directorial films. Now, Shankar is producing Blood & Chocolate with director Vasanthabalan.

Shankar stated that he loved the concept of the film. He praised Vasanthabalan as a sensitive filmmaker. He stated that the director has combined suspense and romance expertly, in this film. Blood & Chocolate movie is releasing on 21st July in Telugu and as Aneethi in Tamil languages. Vanitha Vijaykumar, Arjun Chidambaram and Suresh Chakravarthi are cast in the film.
