Dhanush delievered a blockbuster success and cult musical hit with Raanjhanaa in Hindi. Aanand L Rai became highly famous with this and Tanu Weds Manu series. Dhanush joined hands with Aanand L Rai for Atrangi Re. The director delivered flops like Zero, Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan. Atrangi Re released directly on OTT platforms due to Covid-19 pandemic and critics panned the film. Now, Dhanush is back to Raanjhanaa mode but with a difference.
He played Kundan in the previous film. Refering to it, this time he stated that Shankar will not let go so easily. Dhanush is playing Shankar in the film and seems to be playing an agitator. He burns down the Raanjhanaa wall poster and we see Tere Ishk Mein title. AR Rahman is back scoring music for the film. He remixed Raanjhanaa tune in the end. Dhanush in Captain Miller get-up looked terrific in the teaser.
The team released the teaser for announcing the project on the occasion of tenth anniversary of Raanjhanaa. Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav are writing Story, Screenplay and Dialogues for the film. Himanshu Sharma is additionally producing the film too. Irshad Kamil is back as lyricist. Dhanush will start shooting for the film post Captain Miller and other commitments. Movie is announced to release for 2024. Other details are not yet announced by the team. Dhanush seems to be in great form right now.
