Vikram movie starring Kamal Haasan, Fahad Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi and Suriya in a cameo, collected Rs. 160 crores Worldwide, close to 22 Million USD in the opening weekend. Tamil Nadu box office has gone bonkers over the weekend as the movie had round-the -clock shows and collected Rs. 67 crores. It emerged as an all-time record breaking first weekend for any movie. Movie collected more than Friday, the first day collections on Sunday and that is unique. Lokesh Kanagaraj and entire movie team are super happy and emotional with the result.
Movie is going to be all-time highest grosser for any Tamil movie in Kerala, it already collected Rs. 15.5 crores gross. In Telugu states, the share is close to 6.7 crores and the breakeven status has been achieved. Gross is said to be close to 11.5 crores. In Karnataka movie collected Rs. 11 crores. Hindi markets did not react to the movie as big as others but it might end up with 20 crores Nett gross.
Overseas has been record breaking for Vikram. 2.0 collections in several Nations are in danger. Australian box office wise, movie is the highest. US box office – All time No.2. Singapore, Malaysia movie is trending well. France, UAE might end up as All time No.1. UK could end as All-time Top 2.
Major has been strong in Telugu states and collected Rs. 35.6 crores gross Worldwide. Hindi markets did not warm up to the film as anticipated but it has decent collection of Rs. 5.65 crores Nett gross. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 crossed Rs. 154 crores Nett. gross and emerged as second biggest hit for direct Hindi release behind Kashmir Files.
Akshay Kumar’s disaster phase is continuing at the box office with Samrat Prithviraj. Movie collected Rs. 15 crores Nett gross on Sunday and ended up close to Rs. 38 crores Nett gross from weekend. Akshay Kumar’s hit movies tend to collect Rs. 65-75 crores Nett gross in the weekend and this is too low for Rs. 200-250 crores budget film, according to trade analysts.
