Tollywood’s veteran superstar Chiranjeevi is currently leading a highly anticipated film directed by the successful Anil Ravipudi. Known for his fast-paced shooting schedules, Ravipudi has already wrapped up the third schedule of the movie, showcasing his signature efficiency. Typically, he completes films within six to seven months, and even though this project began just two months ago, about half of the shoot is already finished. The team had initially aimed for a Sankranti release next year.
However, recent developments in the industry may cause a temporary delay. Film workers across Tollywood have been on strike for the past two weeks, demanding a 30% salary increase. While some producers tried to continue shoots by bringing in workers from other cities, the Film Chamber has now instructed a halt to all ongoing projects. This directive has affected multiple productions, including Chiranjeevi’s film with Anil Ravipudi.
Despite the interruption, sources indicate that the director and team are strategising to ensure the project stays on track. Anil Ravipudi is reportedly planning to adjust schedules and cover the gap caused by the strike once filming resumes. Meanwhile, the Film Chamber has submitted four proposals to the Film Federation regarding wage revisions, and if approved, producers may agree to the pay hike. Chiranjeevi himself is also expected to meet with the producers and federation members to discuss solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to the film’s progress.
While the strike has created speculation about a potential postponement of the release, insiders believe the team is committed to completing the film as planned. Fans can expect meticulous planning by Anil Ravipudi and dedication of Chiranjeevi to ensure the film reaches theatres without major setbacks. The industry is closely watching how the combination of star power and directorial efficiency will navigate this unexpected challenge.
