Top stars Allu Arjun, popularly known as Bunny, and Jr NTR, fondly called Tarak, are preparing for some of the biggest foreign shooting schedules ever planned in Indian cinema. Their upcoming pan-India films are set to cross borders, with large portions of production taking place abroad.
For Bunny, the much-talked-about project with director Atlee is already creating a buzz. So far, the film has been shot entirely in India, with Mumbai as the central location. Lavish sets have been constructed in the city, while a few key scenes were filmed in real locations around Mumbai. With the current schedule nearly complete, the team is turning its focus to an extensive international plan.
The next stop is Abu Dhabi, where the cast and crew will camp for close to 50 days. This schedule promises to be one of the most ambitious for the film. Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is set to join Bunny during this phase, with important combination scenes and heavy action sequences lined up.
On the other hand, Jr NTR’s collaboration with director Prashanth Neel, titled Dragon, is also gearing up for a global run. Unlike Neel’s earlier films, which relied mainly on massive sets in India, this story demands authentic foreign locations. Since its launch, the shoot has remained within the country, with crucial portions now being filmed in Karnataka.
Once the Indian leg is wrapped up, Dragon will spread its wings across 10 different countries. Exotic landscapes and international backdrops are being scouted to give the film a truly global appeal. Reports suggest that due to the length of the schedule, Neel and his team may even recruit local crew abroad to manage the workload efficiently.
Both productions reflect the changing scale of Indian cinema, where pan-India films no longer settle for compromise. Audiences expect grandeur, and filmmakers are willing to go the extra mile, or even across continents, to deliver it. Bunny and Tarak’s upcoming films are clear examples of this shift, as they prepare to take their stories to new horizons
