Bro starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej released on 28th July, 2023 all-over. The movie had a good buzz before release as real life Uncle and nephew are coming together for the first time. Bro is the remake of Tamil Movie, Vinodhaya Sitham. Samuthirakani written and directed the original for an OTT platform. Trivikram Srinivas loved the idea behind the concept and Samuthirakani got the opportunity to direct Pawan Kalyan. Trivikram also wrote the dialogues for the film. Now, lets discuss what Bro is all about!

Bro Plot:
Mark aka Markandeyulu(Sai Dharam Tej) runs behind money and position. He is a very soft-hearted and duty minded person with more impetus on career growth than personal growth. He ends up in a car accident one day. Time takes Bro Avatar(Pawan Kalyan) and tells Mark that his time is over. Mark worries about his girl friend(Ketika Sharma) and his family members. Bro gives him 90 days time to get closure. What Mark does in these 90 days with the help of Bro? Watch the movie to know more.
Bro Analysis:
Movies can be made in any number of days and in number of ways. Bro movie is a classic example of several highly talented people rushing to finish a movie in short-term. The effect of such rush is visible on the screen. Bro tries to tell an important thing in life to the viewers suggesting them to “live in the present and for you.” It also tries to tell us about not losing the precious moments of life in trying to run for making one. While the ideas are bright, the execution suffers with unimaginative scenes and writing. Pawan Kalyan saves the ship as Bro with a very active performance.

Pawan Kalyan looked jaded in films like Katamarayudu but from Vakeel Saab, he has putting more efforts on screen to bring vintage Kalyan back. In Bro, most of scenes, refer to his old movies and he carried them off with swag and in style. He makes Bro, watchable at moments that tend to dip the momentum. It is his screen presence that radiates energy on to the screen. Sai Dharam Tej needs some more time to recover from the crisis, he had to face. He looked a bit lost and the character did not suit his current state of mind as much. Still, he carried it off decently. All others had very less to do.
Samuthirakani tried to bring commercial elements into Vinodhaya Sitham and his referencing to some or the other popular Pawan Kalyan films went overboard. Yes, Pawan Kalyan is a gigantic star but his character in this film, needed some more respect that it got. Somehow, those references take us away from this particular film and Bro character. Trivikram Srinivas seems to have tried to bring Samuthirakani ideas to life in words. But his signature is missing and we do feel, he also got rushed into completing the script. On the whole, Bro had a point to say and it tries hard to state in a comical way. Had it been more sincere, the Bro would have been a must watch.
Bro Positives:
Pawan Kalyan performance
His meta references
Sai Dharam Tej to an extent
BGM score
Bro Negatives:
Writing could’ve been better
Scenes seemed rushed
Feels too generic
Drags out few scenes too much
Bro Bottom-line: Time drags a bit too much!
