Kartik Aryan has been going through slight career crisis with Dharma Productions removing him from their project and almost eliminating him from any of their future projects. Effectively YRF Studios doors are also closed for him for time being.
But the actor emerged triumphant from the crisis with a box office blockbuster debut. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 managed to take Rs. 55.96 crores weekend debut when most of the big star films have been failing to even put up 40 crores opening weekend collections.
On Sunday, movie had a huge day with Rs. 23 crores returns while on Saturday it improved from Friday with Rs. 18 crores Nett gross. Movie could well go on to hit 100 crores mark as till 3rd June, it doesn’t face any sizeable opposition. ANEK starring Ayushmann Khurrana scheduled for release on 27th May but the team is not promoting at the level an Ayushmann starrer has been in recent times.
Kartik Aryan seems to have emerged as a bankable actor for medium budget films as he scored hits with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu ki Sweety ki Tweety, Luka Chuppi and moderate success with Pati Patni aur Woh. Well, Kanagana Ranaut’s Dhaakad did not even collect Rs. 3.5 crores Nett gross over the weekend.
