Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is set to return to the big screen with his 75th film, Mass Jathara, directed by debutant Bhanu Bhogavarapu. The film, produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas under Srikara Studios, is all set for a grand release on 31 October 2025. Featuring Ravi Teja, Sreeleela, and Naveen Chandra in key roles, the film combines action, emotion, and entertainment in a unique way.
Speaking about his directorial debut, Bhanu Bhogavarapu described Mass Jathara as a “mass entertainer with a new concept.” Set against the backdrop of the Railway Police, the story explores an unusual crime scenario with fresh, engaging sequences. “The title Mass Jathara was suggested by Ravi Teja himself,” the director revealed, adding that he felt a greater sense of responsibility after that.
Bhanu, who has worked as a successful writer for several Telugu hits, said he conducted extensive research before writing the script. “I met real railway police officers to understand their work and experiences. That inspired several scenes in the film,” he shared.
Naveen Chandra plays a strong antagonist named Shivudu. The director said the role went through multiple casting discussions before finalising Naveen. “He underwent a complete makeover for this role and did complete justice to it,” Bhanu said confidently. On the other hand, Sreeleela plays Tulasi, a pivotal character. “From the beginning, we all felt she was the perfect choice,” he added, promising a refreshing new side of the actress.
Music for the film is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, who earlier collaborated with Ravi Teja on Dhamaka. The director praised Ravi Teja’s dedication to the film’s action sequences, revealing that the actor even sustained minor injuries during shooting.
Calling Mass Jathara a mix of energy, humour, and emotion, Bhanu Bhogavarapu said the film will deliver exactly what fans expect from a Ravi Teja entertainer, but with a new flavour.
