Baahubali: The Epic teaser may play with War 2 and Coolie theatres

Cinema-goers heading to watch War 2 or Coolie this Independence Week are in for a special treat, they may be among the first to witness the teaser of Baahubali: The Epic.

This upcoming 4K re-release will merge Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion into one grand feature, giving fans the chance to relive S.S. Rajamouli’s legendary saga in a single sitting. The combined version is set to release worldwide on 31 October, marking a decade since the epic first stormed the box office.

Sources say, from 14 August, the teaser may be attached to screenings of War 2 and Coolie, allowing audiences to enjoy a fresh glimpse into the kingdom of Mahishmati before their main feature begins with Baahubali: The Epic teaser. Sources suggest it will showcase some of the most iconic moments from the saga, including the fierce clash between Prabhas’s Amarendra Baahubali and Rana Daggubati’s Bhallaladeva.

The re-edited film, fully remastered in 4K with enhanced audio, is expected to deliver a tighter narrative without losing the key scenes that made Baahubali a cultural phenomenon. Rajamouli has long maintained that the grandeur of these battle sequences is best experienced on the big screen, and this release aims to bring that magic back to cinemas for both long-time fans and first-time viewers.

For many, this will be more than just a rewatch, it’s a chance to revisit the spectacle that put Telugu cinema on the global stage, complete with improved visuals and sound. And for those catching War 2 or Coolie, the journey to Mahishmati will begin before the opening credits of their chosen film even roll.
