Asvins is a new horror film based on a haunted castle. This movie has an Indian Legend connected to a London based palace. Asvins also talks about the inner demons and devil’s exploitative tactics. Vasanth Ravi and Vimala Raman are starring in the film and in a shoe-string budget the team tried to give quality output. Let’s discuss more about Asvins movie.

Asvins Plot:
A vlogger Arjun(Vasanth Ravi) decides to investigate a haunted place in London with his group. Asvins have a relation with the mystery hovering over the place. A mysterious woman Aarthi Rajagopal(Vimala Raman) is also connected to it. Watch Asvins to known more about the mystery and the group’s investigations.
Asvins Analysis:
Asvins tries to come up with a strong legend and mythological core to regular horror story. While the concept is engaging, it drags too much in establishing the legend. The investigation of haunted places and explanation of astral plane, devil intentions just don’t land as impactfully as writer and director anticipated. Film feels like it got overwhelmed by the concept rather than constructing a good ambiance for this concept to prosper and yield into a story. Asvins suffers due to some inexperience among the cast and crew as well.
The basic point doesn’t work as the characters don’t stand out. While a thrilling legend is good premise for plot, we need characters to connect with even through the gore elements. Asvins tries hard to give us a peripheral view into all the aspects of story. But after a point it gets into serious explaining mode and lacks in novelty. The jerky jump scares don’t sustain the fear aspect too. Performances could have better with the kind of efforts Sound Design and Cinematography team have put in. Asvins could have been a better film but ends up being a good concept diluted in execution.

Asvins Positives:
Sound Design
Mythological connect
Few scenes
Asvins Negatives:
Story doesn’t take off
Writing Falters
Lag in story-telling
Repetitive sequences
Asvins Bottom-line: Devil-ish Lag!
