Ant-Man and The Wasp films haven’t been as successful films as Captain Marvel or Black Panther. Even though Ant-Man has been part of MCU from second phase and been an integral part in Captain America Civil War and Avengers EndGame, somehow he did not connect with audience as much as his peers. But now, Marvel seems to have taken a decision to bet big on Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania, by introducing Phase 5 Supervillain Kang, in this one.
Marvel dropped second trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumaina film and it is Kang heavy. Like Spider-Man films, this one also addresses the after-effects of Blip and EndGame that makes Ant-Man a celebrity. But during the time, he had to stay in Quantum World, he missed out on the memories of his daughter Cassie, growing up. Kang offers Ant-Man the gift of Time to be able to go back and witness those memories, as his daughter seems to have some Daddy issues.
The trailer promises entire new visual palette from Marvel after Phase 4 received major criticism for the content and look, as well. Quantum world with Kang exploring it thoroughly and trying to master it, seems to give Phase 5, a much better villain and direction in story-telling. Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania could cross the I billion USD mark for the first time for an Ant-Man film, if Kang connects with audiences.
For now, Ant-Man new film trailer has ticked all the boxes right. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bill Murray are cast in the film in important roles and Peyton Reed directed the film. Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania film is scheduled for 17th February, 2023 release, all over the world.
Along with RRR, Kantara and Vikrant Rona qualified for Academy Awards or Oscars.
