Anil Sunkara, producer of recent film, Agent, made a bold statement on Twitter. He stated that they have to take the entire blame of Agent failure. Anil Sunkara said that they tried their best to salvage the situation. But they have started the film without a bound script. That aspect has cost them more than they have planned as budget and resulted in a messy film. Anil Sunkara stated that they would never repeat that mistake again.
Anil Sunkara produced Agent with Akhil Akkineni in the lead. Sakshi Vaidhya and Mammootty acted in other important roles. Surender Reddy directed the film, after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Film ended up being a big disaster for everyone involved. Akhil Akkineni expressed his shock after looking at the result. Anil Sunkara wrote on Twitter, “We have to take the entire blame for #Agent. Though we know its an uphill task, we thought of conquering but failed to do so as we did a blunder starting the project without a bound script & innumerable issues including covid followed.”

Anil Sunkara further stated, “We don’t want to give any excuses but learn from this costly mistake and see how we can turnaround to make sure, we will never repeat the mistakes. Our sincere apologies to all those who put trust on us. We will make it up for the losses with dedicated planning & hardwork in our future projects.” With this apologetic message, Anil Sunkara indirectly agreed that Surender Reddy and he, had issues while making the film. Akhil Akkineni has to come out of this disaster and announce his next film. He gave the film, everything and expected a big hit. Well, the young actor has been trying to find a big blockbuster from the start and he failed with Akhil, now with Agent.
Industry is praising Anil Sunkara for his daring declaration. Fans of Akkineni heroes, are hurt that producer decided to give up so soon. They are more hurt by Nagarjuna’s silence and Akhil’s poor planning in selecting a script. Hopefully, Akhil learns from Agent and delivers a better film, soon. Nagarjuna on the other hand, has decided to start his next film, after a little gap, state sources.
