Amitabh Bachchan is a highly respected actor and star of Indian Cinema. He is termed as Shehenshah and Sadi ka Mahanayak(SuperStar of the Century) in Hindi Cinema. Many producers have dreamt about making a movie with Amitabh Bachchan in his peak time from every language. Ashwini Dutt, Telugu legendary producer, expressed similar wish and he got it fulfilled now. For his multi-hero dystopian society sci-fi project Kalki 2898 AD, producer approached Amitabh Bachchan.
Big B accepted the role as he liked the script. Now, Kalki 2898 AD is fast being shot and Kamal Haasan has also joined the film sets. Kalki 2898 AD has Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani in lead roles along with these legends. Amitabh Bachchan look from the film has been teased already in the teaser film team unveiled at San Diego Comic Con. Now, on his birthday, the team gave a new poster introducing his full look. Several reports state that Amitabh Bachchan could be playing the role of Aswatthama, a mythological immortal, cursed by Lord Krishna.
Kalki is the name given to Lord Vishnu’s next avatar. This avatar will end the bad omens of Kali and start Satya Yuga, again. It is speculated that director Nag Ashwin has taken this mythological story and combined with Star Wars and Dune kind of dystopian worlds. Kamal Haasan will be seen in a negative role but is Amitabh Bachchan also playing, a negative role? We have to wait and see.
