Akhil Akkineni has been looking to deliver a huge blockbuster for Akkineni fans. The actor has debuted with Akhil and then, he continued to do romantic films like Hello, Mr. Majnu and Most Eligible Bachelor. Akhil Akkineni decided to take a big leap with Surender Reddy film, Agent. Anil Sunkara produced the film on a lavish scale. The movie became a huge disaster. Akhil Akkineni wrote an open letter to fans.
He said that he, cast and crew worked with their hearts. They have given their level best but the movie did not come out as anticipated. Akhil asked fans to forgive him for this film and he stated that he will be back with a good film, next. Akhil did not talk about director Surender Reddy, in the letter.
Akhil wrote, “To my dearest fans and all my well wishers. I want to sincerely thank the cast and crew of Agent who dedicated their lives to see our film come to life. While we tried our level best, the film unfortunately didn’t translate the way we wished it would on the screen and we could not deliver a good film for you.”
Akhil further wrote, “A special thanks to my producer Anil garu who was my biggest support system. Thank you to all the distributors who believed in our film and also the media who supported us immensely. The love and energy you all give me is the reason I work and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I will come back stronger for all those who believe in me.

Agent became a huge disaster on the first day, itself. Akhil Akkineni decided to bulk up for the movie and played a RAW Agent. Sakshi Vaidhya debuted in Telugu Cinema, with this one. Mammootty also acted in the movie but it did not get any promotion in Malayalam. Akhil Akkineni is working with different directors for his next with UV Creations.
