Ajith Kumar started working with H. Vinod on their third consecutive film after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Nerkonda Paarvai was Pink Remake and Valimai was an original. NKP became a hit for the budget but Valimai did not recover the costs for some distributors according to trade analysts in Tamil Nadu. Producer Boney Kapoor announced that the movie collected Rs. 200 gross and created first day record.
Ajith prefers to shoot in Hyderabad and most of his movies have been shot in Ramoji Film City from the start of this decade. He does so to avoid crowds who will disturb shoot in Chennai studios.
A huge set has been erect in Hyderabad and the shoot is going on. We heard that Manju Warrier joined the shoot recently and her character will be interesting in the film.
