Ajay Devgn is set to take on a fresh challenge as he teams up with Kannada filmmaker J.P. Thumi for a horror comedy. Talks about the project are currently underway, and if everything goes as planned, filming is expected to begin next year under KVN Productions.

Thumi, who recently made audiences laugh with his film Supram So, is said to have narrated a story that caught Devgn’s attention. The actor has reportedly agreed in principle, although an official announcement from the makers is still awaited. The film is expected to blend humour and horror, offering something new for Devgn’s fans.

This collaboration comes at a time when Ajay Devgn is busier than ever. He has already delivered multiple films this year, including Azaad, Raid 2 and Son of Sardaar 2. His schedule now mirrors that of Malayalam icons like Mohanlal and Mammootty, who are known for releasing several films annually. At times, Devgn’s pace even rivals that of Akshay Kumar.

Currently, Devgn is shooting De De Pyaar De 2, which is in its final stages of production. The makers have locked in 14 November as its release date. Alongside that, he is also working on Dhamaal 4 and Ranger. Both projects are still on the sets and are likely to hit screens in 2026, after delays in scheduling slowed down filming.

Despite juggling so many projects, Devgn continues to sign on for new films, ensuring that audiences see plenty of him both this year and next. If confirmed, his upcoming horror comedy with Thumi will mark an interesting crossover between Bollywood and the Kannada industry.
