On this Occasion Sri Rajesh Kumar, CGM, Hyderabad Circle hoisted the National Flag and said that we have reached the landmark of 76 glorious years of Independence and we are reminded of our Nation’s remarkable journey. He reminded that the independence has been secured by our ancestors after a lot of struggle and after independence our armed/ paramilitary and police forces are safeguarding the nation and the people dutifully, even giving the supreme sacrifice while on duty.
He said the Bank employees are also contributing in their own way to strengthen the nation and serving its people. He expressed the great pride and joy on hoisting the tricolor on this special occasion. Sri Rajesh Kumar said that the Independence Day celebrations are the befitting tribute to the sacrifices made, the battles fought for India and this festival instills the sense of unity among us. Shri Rajesh Kumar said that 76 years of journey has indeed been a glorious journey for our nation and we take pride to be among the top economies of the World.

Alongside the Nation’s journey, SBI has served the nation over the last two centuries through their social & commercial activities. The Bank has overcome many challenges and today has become the most profitable Company of our Country. The Bank has played its part in the Country’s economic growth by being a major partner in working for the good of the poorest of the poors and the top businesses and industries at the same time. He said that the mention of SBI in Indian Parliament by the Finance Minister as the most profitable company gives added responsibility on the shoulders of all SBI Employees.
He appealed to the employees to strive for being the market leader in all business segments, in the country. He also appealed that let every SBI employee be guided by its strong values of Service, Transparency, Ethics, Politeness and Sustainability all the time. He exhorted the employees to continue focusing on the outreach programs such as Sandhya shivirs in villages, PMSvanidhi camps, Financial Literacy, Mudra and other Credit Camps. He said that such initiatives would wonderfully help in strengthening our connect with rural and urban India.
The Independence day celebration also witnessed a variety of cultural activities with active participation from staff members and family members. The children of employees sang patriotic songs and performed traditional dances. The members of staff and their wards who have excelled in sports, dance, education and many other fields were felicitated in the occasion.
The Event was attended by Sri Debashish Mitra, (General Manager NW- 2), Deputy General Managers and other senior management officials and employees and their families. The CGM and other senior officials planted saplings for the Amrit Vatika in SBI LHO premises in Koti.
