Secunderabad-Agartala Express train has been halted in Brahmapur in Odisha. Passengers feared due to recent Odisha Train Accident. Passengers noticed smoke coming from AC Coach in Secunderabad-Agartala Express. They have immediately noted it to the authorities. The Secunderabad-Agartala train has been halted at Brahmapur station and passengers have rushed out of the coach.
The local staff have brought the fire under control. Panic stricken passengers did not want to travel in Secunderabad-Agartala Express unless the coach has been replaced. The cause of fire is detected to be an electric short circuit or breakdown. Eastern Railways staff had to give more assurances to passengers to board them back on. Secunderabad-Agartala Express started back on track in few hours.
Eastern Railways has stated that staff has rectified the situation immediately. They did not talk about the causes for the accident. Passengers are panicking to travel in Odisha region on train due to the recent accidents. Secunderabad-Agartala Express train is minor while Coromandel Express had a major accident. Three trains have collided near Belasore and more than 1100 passengers are injured. Secunderabad-Agartala Express will be taken to quality maintenance check-up to avoid further accidents and issues.
