It’s the most popular hot beverage in India and we often enjoy a lot of snacks with it like pakore, biscuits, namkeen etc. We all love it when we consume hot pakoras with tea, the whole experience becomes amazing. Here are some foods which should be avoided while drinking tea or coffee.
1.Snacks made with gram flour:-
With tea people usually feel like eating pakoras, namkeen, bhujia etc. with tea, which are made using gram flour. The snacks made of gram flour can cause digestive problems while it reduces the body’s capability in absorbing nutrients.
On daily basis, the typical breakfast looks like paratha with curd, pickles and hot tea. But, having this combination can weaken your digestive system and can make you nauseous. It is good not to consume any cold food for at least 30 minutes after drinking any beverages like tea.
3.Foods made with turmeric:-
Turmeric contains antioxidants and is said to be one of the important spices that must be consumed daily. It is an ingredient that must be avoided with tea. Why? Because foods with turmeric can cause gas and constipation in the stomach.
4.Lemon in the tea:-
Ever heard a person saying they get an acidic reaction when they have lemon tea? It happens because lemon contains a high amount of citric acid and can make you feel nauseous and bloated. The lemon juice can make the tea more acidic in nature and can cause swelling in the stomach.
Tea contains tannins and oxalate, which prevent iron from being absorbed in the body and binds with them. Thus, always make sure to avoid iron-rich foods like nuts, grains, and leafy vegetables with a cup of hot tea.
