Ukraine has been under severe Russian Attack from past two years. Now, Nova Kakhovka Dam in the country has been destroyed. Water from river Dnipro has been leaking from the dam post the collapse. The dam is located in the Russia Occupied Ukraine area. Hence, Russia is blaming Ukraine for the catastrophe while Ukraine is blaming Russia. NATO countries have also blamed Russia for the dam collapse.
Till 6th June, people did not realize the dam being damaged and water leaking. Kherso region in Ukraine is under great trouble with Dam collapse. More than 42,000 lives are endangered by this damage. Nova Kakhovka Dam is responsible for supplying water to near-by Nuclear Power Plant and drinking water. Governments have started rescue operations in the low-lying areas of the Dam. Ukraine Government has asked World leaders in involve in the war showing this incident as example of harmful effects.
The catastrophic floods caused by dam collapse are expected to cause losses in Millions. UN has warned biggest threat lives in the areas near-by. Ukraine has appealed to them to help their forces in rescue operations already. Major number of people are being transported to higher grounds and rescue camps for time being. Major flood waters are flowing into the dam and situation is worsening with each day. Let’s hope miseries of Ukraine people come to an end soon.
