Loukya Entertainments, a renowned name in Telugu cinema, has carved a niche with its critically praised and commercially successful films like Colour Photo and Bedurulanka 2012. Spearheaded by dedicated producer Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni, the banner is now gearing up for its next venture, Dhandoraa, a film that promises to captivate audiences with its meaningful storytelling.
Set against the rustic backdrop of rural Telangana, Dhandoraa is a gripping village drama that explores deep-rooted social issues and the stark realities of life. The film boasts a stellar cast, featuring Shivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, Mounica Reddy, Bindu Madhavi, Raadhya, and others, ensuring a blend of seasoned and fresh talent.
Currently, the team is filming the second schedule in Dharipally village, Medak district, Telangana. Veteran actor Shivaji has joined the sets for this phase, alongside Bindu Madhavi, who has begun shooting for her pivotal role.
The makers recently revealed Bindu Madhavi’s first look from the film, introducing her character, Sreelatha—a woman who works as a prostitute and is a devoted mother to her young daughter. Unlike stereotypical depictions of such roles in cinema, Sreelatha is crafted with emotional richness and philosophical depth, devoid of any intimate scenes. Her story in Dhandoraa reflects resilience and introspection, marking this as one of the most nuanced and impactful roles in Bindu Madhavi’s career.
The film’s First Beat teaser, released recently, has sparked widespread excitement, earning praise from viewers and raising anticipation for the project. The team has promised to share more updates about Dhandoraa soon.
Directed by Muralikanth, the film features music by Mark K Robin, cinematography by Venkat R. Sakhamuri, and editing by Srujana Adusumilli. Kranthi Priyam serves as the art director, while Rekha Boggarrapu designs the costumes. Edward Stevenson Pereji is the executive producer, with Aneesh Marisetty as co-producer. Naidu Surendra Kumar and Phani Kandukuri of Beyond Media are managing PR, and Tickt Factory is handling marketing.
With its bold narrative and talented ensemble, Dhandoraa is poised to leave a lasting impression on Telugu cinema.
