Stock Markets Update: Indices crash and recover in one session

Stock Markets have recovered from huge losses within the session

Stock Markets looked like witnessing another big crash but they recovered to end with gains on 13th May. Investors continued to be cautious as the election season reached its peak. International Stock Markets did not end on positive note and markets crashed. But they recovered at lows as few banking shares attracted investments.

Within the session, indices have gone to touch lifetime losses and then recovered big time. BSE has recovered 910 points in Intraday session after the crash in the first half. Even NSE saw same trend with big stocks attracting investments towards the last two hours. Hence, BSE gained 111.66 points to close at 72,776.13 and Nifty gained 48.85 points to close at 22,104.05 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 72,476.65 and then continued to trade between 71,866.01 – 72,863.56. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,027.95 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,131.65. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,821.05. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank shares did well at their lowest helping indices to recover, significantly.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.51 against US Dollar on 13th May 2024. Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank, TCS and Axis Bank shares have ended as Top Gainers. Tata Motors, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Titan, State Bank of India shares have ended as Top Losers. Stock Markets recovered after losing huge in same session but this volatility could continue. So, experts advice caution.
