
Stock Markets on 17th February crashed after Wednesday and Thursday gains. Markets started trading low and they continued to trade below the expectations in red, throughout. International Stock Markets had minimalistic effect on Indian Markets. Majorly, banking shares have been big losers before Mahasivaratri. By the end of the trading session of Stock Markets, BSE lost 316.94 points to close at 61,002.57 and Nifty lost 91.65 points to close at 17,944.20 mark.
BSE Sensex of Stock Markets started trading at 60,993.54 mark and then continued to trade between 60,810.67 to 61,302.72 range. Finally, BSE ended the trading session at 61,002.57 by losing 316.94 points. Nifty Sensex of Stock Markets started trading at 17,974.85 mark and it hit highest for the day at 18,034.25. Nifty hit the lowest at 17,884.60. It traded in red all-day and ended the session by losing 91.65 points and ended at 17,944.20.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.82.81 against US Dollar on Friday. Infosys, SBI and TCS have seen major losses in value on Friday. Major number of traders looked to sell off banking shares before Mahasivaratri holiday. Stock Markets have registered a crash on Friday and ended the week on a low after three back-to-back days of gains.
