BSE Sensex saw positive gains or Bull Run for most of the week. Now, it started the new week on Monday with slight losses. It closed on Friday at 54,481.54 points. It started trading on Monday at 54,284.60.
It continued trending low for the first half falling to as low as 54,090.53 points and then started recovering from afternoon. It touched the high mark for the day at 54,527.90 and looked like ending at marginal higher mark than the previous closing point.
But it dipped again towards the end of the day and finished at 54,395.23 with a loss of 86 points. Airtel, TCS have faced huge losses while Tata Steel gained. Nifty ended below 16,250 mark at 16,216.00.
US inflation report is eagerly awaited by the traders. If it reports possible recession and confirms huge inflation, the markets could collapse on Tuesday. If the report remains moderate then the Tuesday could be positive for the markets.
