Andhra University Marks 100 Years, Signs Global Tech Pact with Florida University

Andhra University in Visakhapatnam has achieved another rare recognition by celebrating its hundred years of glory. On the occasion of the centenary celebrations, the central government has specially allocated Rs. 100 coin and release of postal stamp. This is a great milestone in the history of the University. Similarly, taking a step forward in the fields of modern technology, Andhra University has signed a key agreement with the University of Florida in America in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technology. Through this agreement, students and researchers will get international level opportunities.

under the “Mission Mausam” project, the central government has allocated about Rs. 180 crore has been proposed to set up a Tropical Research Centre. This center will play a vital role in climate research. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh said that Andhra University will work hard to achieve a place in the world’s top 100 universities. He said that special plans will be implemented to reduce the skill gap among students and the university will be linked to the needs of industries.

It has been revealed that the vacant posts in the university will be filled within the year and quality curriculum required by the industries will be created. To further expand research activities Rs. He said that he has asked the Chief Minister to allocate 250 crore funds. Reminding that many people who have studied from Andhra University are in high positions in the country and abroad, Lokesh advised the students to consider every defeat as the first step to victory. Citing his political journey as an example, he said that the defeat in Mangalagiri fueled him and helped him win with a huge majority.
