PM Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on 19th January to flag off, Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed, electric multiple unit train designed and manufactured by Indian Railways

PM Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on 19th January to flag off, Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed, electric multiple unit train designed and manufactured by Indian Railways. Integral Coach Factory in Chennai manufactures these trains. PM Narendra Modi has flagged off Vande Bharat Express between Howrah Junction and New Jalpaiguri Junction, on 30th December, 2022.

Vande Bharat Express train can reach maximum acceleration of 160 kmph but it runs at 130 kmph as the tracks don’t support such high speeds. It can go up to 180 kmph, as per testing reports suggest. VB1, VB2, VB3, VB4 trains have been designed and VB2 are being dolled out. VB2 trains equipped with automatic train protection system, Kavach. Vande Bharat Express trains are completely Indian made and manufactured semi-high speed trains and Indian Railways has plans to introduce Bullet trains in coming future.

Along with flagging off Vande Bharat Express train, PM Narendra Modi will also lay foundation stone for overhauling wagon repair shop at Kazhipet and inaugurate Secunderabad renovation works. Also, possibility is there for PM Narendra Modi to start Secunderabad – Mehaboobnagar second line as well. Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Vijayawada will bring down travel time between two stations considerably.
